Empowering women as ocean leaders, preserving marine ecosystems for the future.

Empowering women in coastal communities

Sustainable Ocean Africa (also known as Sustainable Ocean Women Future), an NGO, collaborates with African local communities on ocean cleanup to support local fishing livelihoods reliant on a healthy ocean.

p>With extensive experience in Zanzibar and Tanzania, the organization emphasizes women's health and empowerment in coastal areas, recognizing its significance for sustainable practices and a better future.

Overall, we work to create a future where the sea is clean and sustainable, girls have equal access to education, and women have the opportunity to earn their own income, power and influence, and emerge as leaders in their local communities. Explore our projects and join us on the journey towards a more sustainable and fair future for all.

Sustainable Ocean

focuses on preserving and protecting the ecosystems in our oceans. We work to reduce marine pollution, promote sustainable fishing practices and raise awareness of the importance of preserving the marine environment for future generations.

Young girls and education

is dedicated to breaking down barriers that prevent girls from accessing the same education as boys. Through our pad project in partnership with the Holding Hands Foundation, we provide support, resources and mentoring programs to encourage girls to pursue their educational goals and realize their full potential.

Women Future Chicken Farming Academy

focuses on empowering women's economic independence by providing training and resources in poultry farming and vegetable growing. Through this academy, we give women the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed as entrepreneurs in agriculture.

What We Do

Sustainable Ocean Class
Education

Education is key to sustainable development. By providing knowledge and resources, we equip communities to make informed decisions, fostering environmental stewardship and sustainable practices.

This education shapes a future where both people and the planet can prosper.

Clean Oceans

The oceans, our planet’s lifeblood, face a grave threat from pollution and lost fishing gear.

New knowledge, technology and improved practices will help preserve our oceans for future generations.

Empowering Women

Empowering women in coastal communities is crucial. As the backbone of these areas, when women are educated and uplifted, entire communities thrive.

Supporting their empowerment leads to more sustainable practices and a brighter future for all.
